This costume was tailored within an inch of its life. If I still had it I’d be curious to see how it fits now! Also, I freaked out a park ranger with my (fake) bloody bandage and I am still sort of proud of that.
I was experimenting at Ohayocon this year. I had been reading about ghost photos, and how to fake them. It’s really not a difficult process at all—you set for a long exposure, and have the ghost “move” moments after you start. I really liked the effect, and even though these aren’t very good, I think it has a lot of potential—especially the way it looks like they’re “moving” just like the game! :D
The lighting was absolutely atrocious, and I’m not very good at editing it yet. My main issue was staying completely still. Even if I had it set for a relatively short exposure, I’m still blurry! I don’t think the fact that we were shooting on a walkway (designed to have slight bounce as people walk across it) and it was FREEZING LIKE WHOA helped.
The Itsuki is my awesome friend Mal, and the Woman in Box (sans box at this time!) is my lovely friend Amanda. I made the camera, Itsuki, Mio, and the yukatas for Amanda, although she roughed them up herself and is gonna harass them some more.
I can’t wait to mess around with this some more. Wish me luck!
